Engineering Courses in Nepal

Mainly three universities: Tribhuvan University, Pokhara University and Purbanchal University offer engineering courses in Nepal. In this post we are going to discuss about the bachelor and masters level courses offered by Tribhuvan University(TU) i.e. by Institute of Engineering (IOE).

For bachelors degree in Nepal, various IOE affiliated and constituent engineering colleges in Kathmandu and other regions offers different streams of engineering and architecture. Here is the list of courses:

Bachelor in Civil Engineering (BCE)

Bachelor in Architecture (B. Arch.)

Bachelor in Electrical Engineering(BEL)

Bachelor in Electronics and Communication Engineering(BEX)

Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering(BME)

Bachelor in Computer Engineering(BCT)

Bachelor in Agriculture Engineering(BAE)

Bachelor in Industrial Engineering(BIE)

Bachelor in Geometics Engineering(BGE)

Bachelor in Automobile Engineering Engineering(BA)

The constituent campuses which includes Central Campus(Pulchowk)Western Region Campus (WRC)Eastern Region Campus(ERC) and Thapathali Campus has total seat capacity of 1488 for various streams. Likewise, IOE affiliated private engineering colleges announces admission in bachelor level for a total of 2224 candidates who are selected based on the IOE entrance exam conducted generally on Bhadra-Ashwin each year.

MSc entrance is generally held at the first week of November and Online form submission starts a month before. More details about the entrance exam and syllabus is available here.

IOE offers admission for both national and International students in various streams of engineering in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.
