Purbanchal Engineering College Padlocked Month Before Exam

Purbanchal Engineering Campus (Eastern Region Engineering College), Dharan has been padlocked by agitating students demanding infrastructure and rescheduling of ‘Field Visit’ date for third year BE Electronics. The students protested by burning chairs and tyres. The rooms of College Principal Jitendra Chaudhary, Department head of Electrical engineering Binayalal Shrestha, assistant college head Sikhar Bhattrai have been vandalized.

The field visit which covers a total of `12 marks for BE Electronics was scheduled for March 9 but was rescheduled after Civil Engineering students padlocked the college on Monday and Tuesday. The students set fire in the college premises after talk between college administration and students failed.

Board exam of IOE is set to start from 16th of Chaitra. The routine of the exam can be accessed from here. There’s just a week left for form submission deadline.

The IOE Constitutent engineering college was also padlocked by students of electrical and computer engineering faculties last year demanding proper learning environment at the campus.
